Privacy

As little as possible.

I only collect what I need to send you the guide, the blog email, or your palms. I never sell it, rent it or trade it. Here's exactly what that means.

Email sign-ups

When you sign up for the free guide or blog updates, I get your first name and email address. I use them to send you the guide and the weekly blog email, and to say hi by name.

• Your sign-up is stored with Kit (kit.com), the email service that sends my emails, plus a backup copy on this website's own storage.
• Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're off the list.

Reviews

If you leave a review, the form asks for your name, where you're from, what you bought, your rating, your review and an optional photo. Once I approve it, those show on the reviews page.

• The form also asks for your email. That is never shown. I only use it if I need to ask you about your review.
• I don't edit what you write. I only remove spam and fakes.

Orders

When you order a palm, I use your name, shipping address and email to ship it and keep you posted. Card payments are handled by the payment company. Your card number never reaches me.

Accounts

An account is optional. If you make one, I keep your name, email, a saved shipping address and your order history. Your password is stored only as a scrambled one-way code, so nobody, me included, can read it.

Signing in uses one small cookie to keep you logged in for 30 days. Log out any time, or email me to delete your account.

Counting visits

The site counts visits so I can see which pages are useful. It does this without cookies, without ads and without following you to other sites.

• Each visit is counted with a scrambled code that changes every day and can't be traced back to you. It is deleted after two days.
• What I see is totals: how many people visited, which pages, what country, and phone or computer. Not who you are.

Behind the scenes

• The site runs on Cloudflare, which keeps standard security logs to block attacks.
• The live temperatures and weather come from sensors in my own yard and greenhouses. They collect nothing about visitors.
• This site isn't meant for kids under 13, and I don't knowingly collect anything from them.
